Creating exhibitions can entail museum staff working with external team members and firms. The processes of how external firms are selected, solicited, and contracted are important steps. Team members often spend more time with these groups than with their own families. How you meet, choose, and contract with each other shapes the direction of any project. We will look at the process from four different perspectives and provide stories and advice about how to make the proposal, bidding, and contract processes work best for all involved.
