Museums and their collections face an array of risks – from a single leaking pipe to a large-scale regional disaster. Comprehensive emergency plans take into account all of these risks and include details on how to address them. This session will highlight the resources available to help museums on a local, state, and national level. By introducing hypothetical situations and reviewing response structures in place, you will learn about the organizations that can mobilize to provide assistance. In addition, you will leave with a knowledge of the networks that you can become involved in to boost your preparedness efforts.
