Latina/os are the fastest growing ethnic group in the U.S., yet underrepresented as museum goers. Bridging this gap through visitor study and outreach is vital to the work of inclusion. This discussion across museum contexts, from science centers to art museums and a Holocaust museum, will deepen your understanding of this diverse group and what institutions are learning from Latina/os. Panelists will present insights from their work with non-visitors, occasional, and frequent museum goers. Examples of how this research and outreach contributed to institutional change for a more inclusive museum will be shared. Contribute your understanding regarding Latina/o inclusion to the conversation and connect with colleagues undertaking similar efforts.
