During the past year, the Institute of Museum and Library Services has worked closely with the Association of Children’s Museums to pilot the Museums for All initiative–encouraging museums to reach out to low-income families by offering free or reduced admission for electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card holders. In this session, you will explore the longer-term experiences of three museums that have expanded their accessibility to wider audiences and the ways in which EBT-based admissions programs have built stronger ties with their communities. You will learn how your museum can enroll in Museums for All, and presenters will talk with you about program implementation, staff training, and sponsorship opportunities.
